About me
Lorik Pylla (born 1998 in Gjakova, Kosovo) is a classical guitarist based in Germany. He began his musical journey at the age of six as a member of a children’s choir, later discovering his passion for the classical guitar. He graduated from the Musical High School “Prenk Jakova” in Gjakova, where he studied guitar with Prof. Gjulian Bytyqi; the flute was his second instrument.
He continued his professional training in Germany at the Akademie für Tonkunst in Darmstadt, where he completed both his Bachelor’s degree and Postgraduate studies in Guitar Performance under Prof. Tilman Hoppstock. Since 2021, his commitment to the regional music scene has extended to his role as a member of the organization team for the Darmstädter Gitarrentage festival. Currently, he is pursuing his Master’s degree at Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Austria, studying under the renowned Italian guitarist Andrea De Vitis.
Throughout his career, Lorik has been recognized at numerous international guitar competitions across Europe, earning multiple prizes as a soloist, and has performed in concerts throughout the continent. He is also a member of the Frequency Guitar Quartet, an ensemble regarded as having a bright future in the classical guitar scene.
In addition to his performing schedule, Lorik is highly active and dedicated in the pedagogical aspect aswell. As a mentor and motivator, he focuses on helping students reach their full musical potential—an approach that has led several of his students to success in various guitar competitions. Since 2024, he has also been a member of the faculty at the prestigious Dr. Hoch’s Konservatorium in Frankfurt.
